Denton County Fun Fact: Did you know that parts of the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde were filmed in Denton County? The famous bank robbery scene was shot in downtown Pilot Point at the historic Farmers and Merchants Bank. Another scene, depicting a failed bank robbery, was filmed at the former Farmers State Bank in Ponder. These locations are a lasting part of Denton County’s connection to Hollywood history!
