🏅Flower Mound Earns National Recognition

Flower Mound has climbed to the #7 spot on SmartAsset’s list of America’s most livable small cities for 2025, a remarkable leap from last year’s ranking at #29. This recognition reflects Flower Mound’s rising appeal, with the ranking analyzing 279 cities of similar size nationwide across factors like housing costs, commute times, and healthcare access. Flower Mound also reports the second-lowest unemployment rate among all Texas cities featured in the report at 1.95%, and only 3.3% of residents live below the poverty line. This combination of economic strength and community resources continues to attract attention and new residents.

Community Updates:

• 🎪 Children’s Lighthouse Expands to Northlake: Children’s Lighthouse is bringing a $3.4 million early childhood education center to Northlake, with doors expected to open in fall 2026. The new facility will serve children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering expanded educational opportunities for local families.

• 🤝 Community Support for Flood Relief: The Tavern at Lakeside in Flower Mound dedicated 100% of its July 15 sales to support flood relief efforts in Kerr County, aiming to raise $25,000 for those affected. Owner Dave Coussirat noted that several vendors will match donations, and the restaurant is matching up to $5,000 in cash contributions.
