New Local Business Openings Around Denton County
Denton County is expanding with some exciting new businesses! Here are a few upcoming spots you won’t want to miss:
🏋️♀️ Thrive Pilates: This locally owned Pilates studio opened in May at Cross Timbers Road, offering reformer classes, dietary nutrition services, and an infrared sauna in a clean, welcoming space.
🌯 Curry Up Now: The fast-casual Indian street food chain opened June 7 in the former Noodle Swing space, bringing creative fusion dishes like tikka masala burritos and deconstructed samosas to Cross Timbers Road.
💆♀️ Argyle Med Spa & Wellness Center: This comprehensive wellness facility offers medical spa services including injectables, laser treatments, hormone therapy, and primary care services through their nurse practitioners and aestheticians.

🎆 Highland Village Festival This Weekend
Highland Village's signature summer celebration, Celebrate Highland Village, takes over Doubletree Ranch Park this Saturday, June 14, with a full day of free family fun. Morning highlights include a 5K run at 7 a.m., the Lions Club Fishing Derby from 8 to 10:30 a.m., and the new Fire Truck Pull at 11 a.m. benefiting Special Olympics Texas. Evening festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. with live music by Escape (The Dallas Journey Tribute Band), food vendors, and a Kid Zone, all leading up to a spectacular fireworks finale over Lake Lewisville. Parking passes are available at The Robert & Lee DuVall Center, with convenient shuttle service from multiple locations including the Municipal Complex and Copperas Branch Park.
Community Updates:
🎉 Little Elm Chamber Happenings: June is packed with ribbon cuttings and events in Little Elm, including grand openings for SugaringLA and Burn Boot Camp. The Chamber’s monthly luncheon and a joint mixer with Lake Cities Chamber are also on the calendar, making it a great month to connect and celebrate local business.
🏘️ Providence Village Expanding: Construction begins this month on Phase 13 of the Village of Providence, adding 84 homes designed for entertaining and one-level living. Local builders Jimmy Bryan Construction and Black Crow Building Company join Ford Classic Homes to maintain the neighborhood’s traditional aesthetic.
