🏡 Governor Abbott Signs $10 Billion Property Tax Relief Bills in Denton
In a major win for Denton County residents, Governor Greg Abbott visited Robson Ranch in Denton this week to sign a $10 billion property tax relief package into law, targeting relief for homeowners, seniors, and small businesses. The legislation, which includes Senate Bills 4 and 23 and House Bill 9, aims to lower property taxes statewide but will require voter approval in the November 4 election before taking effect.

🏙️ Juneteenth Holiday Observances: The City of Denton announced facility closures and service adjustments in observance of the Juneteenth holiday on June 19, with regular operations resuming at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 20.
🚁 Double Oak: Helicopter Landing Proposal Moves Forward": Double Oak prepares for a public hearing on July 1 regarding a proposed helistop near 250 Simmons Road on a 15-acre lot. The proposal includes plans for a lighting system that would qualify the facility to assist with emergency medical helicopter transport for residents.
