New Local Business Openings Around Denton County

Denton County is expanding with some exciting new businesses! Here are a few upcoming spots you won’t want to miss:

• Fiesta Mart: Opening June 26 at 724 W. Main St., Lewisville, Fiesta Mart brings a 49,000-square-foot grocery experience with international products, fresh produce, a bakery, tortilleria, and in-house restaurant. The grand opening will feature food samples, live mariachi, giveaways, and community donations.

• Tumbles Flower Mound: Now open at 1121 Flower Mound Road, Ste. 520, Flower Mound, Tumbles offers gym and STEAM classes for kids ages 4 months to 12 years, plus birthday parties, parents’ night out events, and summer camps.

• Star Physical Therapy: Opening in May at Northlake Crossing (1633 Robson Ranch Road, Northlake), Star Physical Therapy will provide physical therapy services in a brand-new retail center serving southern Denton County.

Community News

Direct Train Route from Denton to DFW Airport Announced

Great news for Denton County travelers: the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) plans to extend the A-Train south, creating a direct connection to DART’s new Silver Line at Downtown Carrollton Station. This means getting to DFW Airport will soon be faster and require fewer transfers-making trips for work or vacation much simpler. With the Silver Line expected to open in late 2025 or early 2026 and the A-Train extension to follow, this project marks a major step forward for convenient, connected transit in our community.

• Kimzey’s Coffee Shop Closing May 17: Loved for its storybook charm and welcoming atmosphere, Kimzey’s Coffee Shop in Argyle will close on May 17 following the sale of its building. Owner Matt Fisher shared his gratitude for the community’s support, noting the shop’s recent record sales and the many memories made over the years. Stop by before the doors close to celebrate Kimzey’s and say goodbye to a true local favorite.

• New Denton Eats Directory Launched: We’re excited to announce the launch of Denton Eats, your go-to guide for discovering the best restaurants in Denton County!
