Denton ISD Receives $9M Grant to Boost Digital Learning
Denton Independent School District (DISD) has been awarded a significant $9 million grant to enhance the district's digital learning initiatives. The grant will provide students with access to modern technology, including devices that will be distributed throughout the district. This investment aims to improve student engagement, foster digital literacy, and ensure all students have equal access to digital tools, which will be especially beneficial for remote learning opportunities. With this funding, Denton ISD will also be able to provide enhanced support for teachers as they integrate technology into their classrooms. The district’s commitment to improving academic outcomes through technology is expected to have a lasting impact on students' educational experiences.

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day Observance: City offices and facilities in Denton will be closed on Monday, January 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

  • Doubletree Ranch Park Improvements: The city of Highland Village is adding new vertical interactive features to the Doubletree Ranch Park Splash Pad, with construction anticipated to be completed in time for the 2025 season.
